I've never been a hardcore gamer, testing all the latest releases, always keeping up with the newests... There are a few popular games I've played, but not being attracted to FPS, MOBA, or battle royales, that rules out a large portion! But there are still exploration games, building games, and RPGs left.
On October 28th, 2012, I bought Minecraft. Since then, I never got tired of it, and for over 10 years, it was one of the only games I played (at least on PC).
Console-wise, the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS Lite were my main companions, to explore all the Pokémon games up to the 5th generation, and some RPGs like the excellent Dragon Quest IX. Today I spend much less time on games, maybe that's a mistake...

Checkout this trainer card! Pretty cool right? If you're an expert on gen 4, you'll notice I am missing two pokemons on the Pokedex (Deoxys and Arceus).
Despite all my efforts, I couldn't find anyone to trade those two. But hey, they don't even count to mark the game as complete, I can live with that.

Having played all the previous versions at least once, it helped a lot in catching them all.
